Iran executes two, including a young man publicly hanged in West Islamabad

Iran HRM : A young man was publicly hanged on September 12, 2017 in West Islamabad (Islam Abad Gharb), west of Iran, according to the state-run Rokna news agency.

The 27-year-old man who has not been named by the state media, was found guilty of murder. The prisoner was hanged in public in the presence of children as can be seen in the published pictures by state run media.

In another development another inmate identified as Faraj Hamdollahi was hanged on August 27, 2017 on the same charge in Shirvan Prison in Northern Khorasan Province.

He had been convicted after he accidentally killed a man during a fight in 2013. Hamdollahi had said on multiple occasions that it was an accident. This execution has not been made public to this date

Absence of classification of deliberate murders in Iran lead to capital punishment for everyone committed murder, intentional or UN intentional.
